Every reading class at Beehive Academy is designed and taught by highly qualified professionals with advanced training in reading, language, communication, and child development. Our multidisciplinary team combines expertise from education, speech-language pathology, language intervention, and behavioral science to provide comprehensive, evidence-based reading instruction.

Depending on the program, your child may receive instruction from professionals including:

  • Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) with expertise in language development, phonological awareness, literacy, and communication.

  • Master's-Level Reading Teachers and Reading Specialists trained in evidence-based reading instruction and the Science of Reading.

  • Language and Educational Therapists specializing in language processing, learning differences, reading intervention, and academic success.

  • Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who use evidence-based teaching strategies to increase motivation, attention, engagement, learning, and skill mastery.

  • Highly Trained Reading Intervention Teachers who receive ongoing coaching and supervision to ensure every lesson is delivered with consistency and excellence.

Our team works collaboratively to ensure that every lesson is engaging, individualized, and developmentally appropriate. Rather than relying on a single instructional method, we integrate the best practices from literacy research, speech-language pathology, education, and learning science to help children develop strong reading skills that extend beyond the classroom.

Course Description

Flexible Enrollment Options to Meet Your Child's Needs

At Beehive Academy, we recognize that every child enters our program with different strengths, challenges, and learning goals. Some children benefit from an intensive, daily reading program, while others need focused instruction in one or two specific reading skills. That's why we offer two enrollment options, allowing families to choose the program that best meets their child's needs.

Option 1: Intensive 12-Week Reading Academy Blocks

$1,999 for 12 Weeks  | Monday–Friday | 2 Hours Per Day | 5 Days| 120 Hours of Instruction

Our Intensive Reading Academy is designed for children who need accelerated reading instruction. Students attend two hours each day, five days a week, for 12 weeks, receiving 120 hours of expert instruction in small groups of no more than six children.

Every day, students receive systematic, evidence-based instruction across all five essential components of reading:

Phonological Awareness

Phonics (Alphabetic Principle)

Reading Fluency

Vocabulary

Reading Comprehension

This immersive model provides daily practice, immediate feedback, individualized support, and continuous progress monitoring. The consistent schedule allows children to strengthen reading skills rapidly while building confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of reading.

Option 2: Individual Reading Skill Academies

$199 for 12 Weeks | Once Hour Per Week | Personalized Reading Instruction Designed Around Your Child

Not every child needs intensive instruction in every area of reading. Some children may already read accurately but struggle with comprehension. Others may need additional support with phonics, fluency, vocabulary, or phonological awareness. Our Individual Reading Skill Academies allow families to build a personalized reading program based on their child's specific needs.

Families may enroll in one or more of our specialized reading academies:

Vocabulary Academy

Reading Comprehension Academy

Each academy meets one hour per class, and families may choose to attend one, two, three, four, or five days each week, depending on the level of support their child would benefit from. For example, a child might attend Phonics and Fluency three days each week, or Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension twice each week. The schedule is flexible and can be tailored to meet your child's educational goals.

Every academy follows a carefully designed 12-week curriculum with instruction provided in small groups, allowing children to receive individualized attention while practicing new skills with peers at a similar developmental level.

Our 12-Week Curriculum

Every Beehive Academy class follows a carefully designed 12-week curriculum, with each week focusing on one specific developmental reading objective. Rather than introducing a new concept every day, we intentionally teach the same weekly skill through different activities, teaching methods, and learning experiences.

For example, if the weekly objective is rhyming words, children may explore that concept through stories, music, movement, games, science activities, literacy centers, dramatic play, art projects, and guided instruction. Although the activities change throughout the week, the learning objective remains the same.

This approach provides the repetition children need to master new skills while keeping learning exciting, meaningful, and enjoyable. By experiencing the same concept in multiple ways, children strengthen understanding, improve retention, generalize skills across settings, and develop greater confidence as readers.
