Our Approach

At Beehive Academy, families don't have to enroll in and pay for every class separately. Instead, families purchase a Beehive Membership, giving their child access to a wide variety of developmental, academic, movement, creative, and social learning opportunities during their scheduled membership time.

Our memberships are intentionally very limited because Beehive maintains a maximum 1:6 teacher-to-student ratio in our learning groups.

This means your child isn't one of 15, 20, or 25 children in a room. Small groups allow our instructors to know each child, understand what they are working on, and provide meaningful individualized instruction and support.

How Does a Beehive Membership Work?

Families purchase either a 3-hour or 6-hour membership block on their selected days.

The important difference is that you don't have to use every hour in your block.

If your child has a three-hour membership, your child may attend:

  • All three hours

  • Two hours

  • Just one class that day

If your child has a six-hour membership, your family has the same flexibility. Your child can stay for the entire six-hour program or attend only the classes you select.

The membership reserves your child's place during that block. You decide how much of it your child uses.

There is no additional charge for attending multiple eligible classes during your membership block.

Our Unique Aspects

One Membership. Many Opportunities.

Depending upon the schedule and your child's developmental level, membership classes may include opportunities such as:

Reading • Phonics • Writing • Math • Science • Language • Communication • Art • Music • Piano • Theatre • Ballet • Tap • Dance • Tumbling • Fine Motor • Gross Motor • Executive Functioning • Social Skills • Friendship Groups • Play • Problem-Solving • Creativity

Instead of paying separately for reading, then paying separately for tumbling, then music, then art, families have access to eligible classes offered within their child's membership block.

Exceptionally Small Groups

One of the most important differences at Beehive is our commitment to small-group instruction.

Maximum 1:6 teacher-to-student ratio.

Because of this, membership availability is extremely limited. When the six membership spaces for a particular group or time are filled, that group is full. We intentionally limit enrollment because the small-group environment is part of what families are purchasing.

Children receive real instruction from real people in small groups, with hands-on learning, movement, conversation, practice, creativity, and meaningful interaction.

  • No large classrooms.

  • No paying separately for every activity.

  • No requirement that your child attend every hour of the membership block.

Instead, families receive choice, flexibility, small groups, professional instruction, and access to a wide range of developmental learning experiences.
