Bridget Fitzpatrick
MA, SLP-CF
MA, Applied Behavioral Analysis
Bridget Fitzpatrick is a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (CF) with experience working within school-based settings, where she has supported children with a wide range of communication, speech, language, and literacy needs. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders, a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Idaho State University, and a Master’s Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. Bridget is also currently completing the supervised fieldwork hours required to obtain her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential.
Bridget has specialized training in Level 1 PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), an evidence-based tactile-kinesthetic treatment approach in which speech-language pathologists use structured touch cues to the face, jaw, and lips to support accurate speech motor movements. This method is highly effective for individuals with childhood apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, dysarthria, and cerebral palsy, helping improve motor planning, speech clarity, and sound production accuracy.
Bridget is also deeply committed to research and advancing evidence-based practice. She authored her Master’s research paper titled A Systematic Review of Phonological Awareness Interventions for Children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH), which she presented at the Research Symposium at Idaho State University and at the 2025 ARA Institute conference. Her work reflects a strong dedication to improving outcomes for children with hearing differences and literacy challenges.
A core component of Bridget’s professional philosophy is parent collaboration and training. She prioritizes empowering families with knowledge, strategies, and practical tools so they feel confident supporting their child’s communication goals at home. Bridget believes that meaningful progress occurs when clinicians and families work together as a team to create consistency across settings and maximize each child’s success.
