Today’s kids need a hive squad that values meaningful connection and quality care over screen-based learning.
Beehive Academy employs a multi-disciplinary technique to children’s therapy, blending ABA, SLP, and OT services into meaningful, individualized care. Our services are outcome-based, socially significant, and focused on the unique needs of every child. All programs utilize only evidence-based techniques at the highest standard of care, blending standardized practice with individualized treatment.
Services are offered to children across home, clinic, school, and community settings according to age, authorization, and availability. Our teams provide diagnosis, assessment, supervision, parent training, and direct care to families. Services are customized to family availability, needs, and setting.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy focusing on understanding and changing behavior by analyzing environmental factors. Primarily used to support individuals with autism, it uses positive reinforcement to teach new skills, increase independence, and reduce harmful behaviors. Programs are highly customized to improve behaviors that are socially significant and remove obstacles to full participation in daily life, independent living, socialization, and community/societal activities.
ABA programs are designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and implemented by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
Speech therapy, provided by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs), assesses and treats communication, language, cognitive-communication, and feeding disorders. Techniques include muscle exercises, language drills, and use of communication devices to improve speech clarity, comprehension, and safe eating/swallowing. It also helps address issues from developmental delays, injuries, or illnesses to improve quality of life.
SLP services at Beehive are based on both speech and ABA principles, offering a holistic approach to teaching communication by altering behavioral and environmental factors.
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Occupational therapy (OT) is a client-centered therapy that helps people participate in daily activities they want or need to do. It focuses on improving physical, cognitive, and emotional skills to enhance independence in daily tasks, including work, school, and self-care.
OT for children typically focuses on enhancing motor skills, executive functioning, independence, and self-care. At Beehive, OT is carefully integrated with ABA principles, allowing professionals to teach these skills by altering behavioral and environmental factors.
No more juggling 10 appointments! Need ABA, OT, and speech? We’ll blend them into one buzzing schedule.
What We Offer
More than Therapy
What is our type of “Social”?
Our social groups are far more than simply children spending time together. We provide thematic, structured, and clinically organized group instruction designed to teach meaningful social skills in a purposeful way.
Each program is offered in 12-week sessions with clearly defined goals, planned agendas, and ongoing data collection to monitor progress and outcomes. Our curriculum targets the essential components of successful social development, including relationship building, conversation skills, problem-solving common friendship challenges, peer coaching, group participation, appropriate social behaviors, perspective-taking, inferencing in social situations, and creating a sense of belonging within a community.
Through guided practice and evidence-based instruction, children gain the tools needed to develop friendships, navigate social situations, and build lasting confidence with peers.
But that’s not all!
Vocational Programs
Programs for older children are offered on weekends or after school, bringing in local experts to teach lifelong skills needed for jobs, independent living, and adulthood, such as cooking, cleaning, computer science, etc.
Social Groups
Social groups are offered on weekends or after school for a variety of age groups and focus on group, social, and play skills needed to build connections and make friends.
Parent Support and Workshops
Unlike other ABA providers, we do not use a solely 1:1 parent training approach; in addition to individual parent training, we also offer parent support groups and workshops, allowing parents to connect, learn, and build a hive together.
Proven Results
Beehive Academy only employs evidence-based practices. All staff are trained in the practices that have been shown to be successful with your child’s age group and goal domain. Watch your child thrive with measurable improvements in fluency, comprehension, and creativity.
Rapid Response
Our school-based rapid response behavior team ensures that all school-based needs are always met quickly, with a BCBA onsite within 72 hours and assessments completed within 10 days, as well as RBT support, staff coaching, inclusion rescue plans, and outplacement prevention.
Best Practice Standards
Beehive Academy abides by the best practice standards set forth by the governing entities responsible for overseeing ABA, including all ethical, clinical, and operational standards that have been proven to enhance quality of care.
